LUCANIA. Sybaris. Circa 550-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 28 mm, 8.05 g). Bull standing left on dotted ground line, his head turned back to right; in exergue, VM; all within border of dots. Rev. Bull standing right on dotted ground line, his head turned back to left; all within border of dots; all incuse. HN Italy 1729. SNG ANS 834. SNG Copenhagen 1388. A beautifully toned and very well centered example. Light marks and very minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
